2001-02-12 Notes for NwReader: You can choose between to installation ways: Automatic installation via Setup program, or manual installation. 1) Automatic with setup program: Nwreader 0.9.7.0413 has now an setup program. We intend to make the installation/ uninstallation of NwReader simpler, than it was. The Setuprogram will extract the nessecary files from the archive, and copy them to the destination drive/dir you choose. After that it will make an entry in the startup menue. Thats all, no DLL copy to SYSTEM or SYSTEM32 You can do the updates with the NWRSETUP program too, it will ask you to confirm overwriting the old files. For manual installation of NwReader you need the pure Nwreader.zip file and some DLL from the Borland C++ builder. spdll3.zip You can get these from the nwreader downloadpage. Unzip them to an empty directory, make an link to your desktop or start menue.... Thats all. technical details: 1) You need comctl32 4.7 or later to run nwreader. This is not includet in the servicepack 3 for windows NT. If your need a newer one, you can get an update at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/developer/downloads/files/40comupd.exe 2) Nwreader will generate his own registry keys when it is started the first time. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NWReader If you want reset all the NWReaders window size, positon and fonts to default feel free to delete the NWReader Key. NWReader will than start again with the defaults. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\NWReader This key can be deleted with an button inside the nwreader (Page: Option/Other).
